“For the IF in Life”

Back in 2006, Metlife initiated an advertising campaign of “What IF” to address an important change in the market for life and health insurance that was uncovered by consumer research. The research uncovered that Americans were feeling a greater financial burden on themselves to provide their own Safety Net and to not depend on the government, their employer or the stock market to protect them.

Twenty years later, the need to have a Safety Net is even more important, given inflation, the high cost of living, and the necessity to be prepared for the “What IF’s” of today’s world, when our money buys much less than it did in 2006.

“What If” an unexpected emergency arises? What if You get hurt and You need medical attention, who or how are you going to pay? If you are out of work for a few months, who or how will you get paid? If you want to retire in dignity, is Social Security enough? Or will You need and prefer a guaranteed income? What if someone steals your identity? Who or what will provide that “Safety Net”?

So, the Safety Net question of “What If” still resonates today with most concerned working families. The answer resides with the Insurance Industry.

In life, we have many RISKs that we face. What If we get sick? What if we lose our job? What if we out-live our money? What if we have a long-term care evet? What if we die prematurely?

In each case, we must transfer that risk to an insurance company, that is the definition of insurance. If something happens, they take care of it, and we won’t need to worry about it. That is our Safety Net.

Yes, Peace Of Mind, knowing that everything is Taken Care of, because we were smart, and transferred that risk to an insurance company ahead of time. Again, that is the definition of Insurance, the transfer of Risk.

Our many “What If” concerns are remedied with proper insurance.

Our Peace Of Mind, our Safety Net.
